I was told from the local priest that they have fled from Isis and they have no where to stay but in the house of god. The refuges feel safe residing in these church because they feel as if they have taken refuge in god's house. Many of the refuges are young children who have not been able to attend school since the conflict started.
This day made me feel so blessed to live in the United States where I do not have to flee for my religion or ethnicity but it made me feel that I have to report and help these refuges in what ever way I can. These are Iraqi christian in Amman, Jordan in the image below:
